Meet Your Curator, Teacher, and Keeper of the Archives
Ron Henley has left an indelible imprint on the souls of those who dare to dream. A true luminary in the Network Marketing world, with a career spanning over half a century, he is celebrated for his boundless passion, unwavering dedication, and unparalleled expertise in the industry's rich history.
A third generation network marketer, he was introduced to the profession in 1968 by his family at age five. Directly mentored by the company's corporate trainer, Zig Ziglar, his dad and grandpa built their company's largest team in the Southeast.
With Zig's records being constantly played in the house, he began doing what all kids do and started repeating what he heard word for word. Being just five, it was a novelty and his family proudly showed him off, having him do "Zig talks" in front of the room at meetings and other events. It was a great recruiting tool and he is proud to have been a part of the network marketing profession at such a young age.
The success of that business profoundly transformed his family's life in every conceivable manner, leaving an indelible impact on the impressionable mind of a five-year-old child. The experience of witnessing the sheer magnificence of this business model, with the power to positively impact people, became a defining moment, forever altering the trajectory of his young life.
The good fortune of being mentored by Zig at 5 was a great start. Fate smiled upon him again when, at the age of 14, he crossed paths with the legendary Jim Rohn on July 15, 1978 and found his true calling.
Ron followed the family tradition and became a distributor in his first company on May 1, 1981, at the age of 17. Remembering his family's early experiences, it was around that time that his interest about the origins of network marketing began.
From those early days, an insatiable curiosity became a driving force. Coupled with a deep passion for discovery, Ron began an incredible journey of capturing the history of the profession that continues to this day. That mission has allowed him to connect with people in a unique way as he became friends with, and personally mentored by the original founders and legends of this profession.
Over the last five decades, he has purposefully amassed an incredible collection of memorabilia and artifacts that capture the origins of network marketing but it's not enough. It's time to bring attention to a serious problem before it's too late.
Saving Our Proud Heritage
While many overlook its significance, the invaluable legacy of network marketing is gradually eroding before our very eyes, day by day. Our mission is to reverse this trend by fostering education and raising awareness, determined to safeguard and rejuvenate the profound impact of network marketing.
So many long time veterans of this profession, who have devoted decades of their lives to their craft, have assembled their own amazing memorabilia collections. This compilation of their life's work features irreplaceable, rare, unique, one-of-a-kind items that are a true sight to behold.
Some have these collections displayed in their homes. Others have saved them in attics, garages, storage buildings, etc. As they reach the twilight of their lives, they have no idea what to do with their prized possessions. Some, with tears in their eyes, and seeing no alternative, throw everything away. Some hang on to their treasures, hoping for an answer, only to have them tossed in a landfill somewhere by relatives after they pass away.
The Creation of a Globally Recognized Historical Entity
Fighting against these injustices has become Ron's Magnificent Obsession. The Network Marketing Historical Society (NMHS) is the place of official record where future researchers can get the real story and facts. The NMHS is dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery, and learning about the network marketing profession through unparalleled research, collections, exhibitions, and education.
The NMHS fulfills his vision of establishing the Globally Recognized Historical Entity for the profession. It is a place where the true and correct history of network marketing can be taught, learned, explored, and experienced through memorabilia, photos, audio, video, and live events. Through the Network Marketing Historical Society, these precious artifacts can be gathered, restored, preserved, and displayed for the benefit of all.
The Museum and Exhibiton Hall
Now in the development stages, the physical museum and exhibition hall is slated to be opened in Atlanta, Georgia in the near future. We are in the process of gathering memorabilia to make a visit to the museum an epic experience. The vision for this project is worldwide so there will also be an online museum and learning platforms so people unable travel can learn about our profession.
Once the physical exhibits are up and running, the museum will offer general admission as well as guided tours. These experiences will be designed to meet all attendees' learning objectives and provide personal insights into the people and companies that created the profession.
We Need Items To Display!
We can't do it without you so please help us get the word out! For this museum to have maximum impact, we need many items to display.
If you're looking for a way for your legacy in network marketing to live on, donating your memorabilia to the museum is a way to make sure you're remembered!
